Complementary activities help us to discover the country's history, culture and gastronomy.
Visits to museums, tastings of the country's agricultural and artisanal products and tastings of traditional Andorran cuisine paired with wines or beers are some of the activities that will take place in this third edition of the Andorra Walking Festival.
Monday September the 9th
Pairing of Andorran cuisine and wine
Pairing of Andorran cuisine and wines CLOS MONTBLANC (D.O. Conca de Barberà). We will finish with a RATASSIA DE LA CARMETA, an Andorran artisan liqueur. The restaurants will be la Cort del Popaire and la Llar de l’Artesà.
Tuesday September the 10th
The Rossell Forge, Interpretation Center
Between the 17th and 19th centuries the valleys of Andorra were iron-producing areas. The Rossell Forge is one of the best-preserved examples of this iron and steel-making past in the Pyrenees.
Wednesday September the 11th
Presentation of local food and artisanal beer from Andorra
At the end of Wednesday’s hiking trip, we will enjoy a small snack before taking the shuttle back to Canillo. The Molí dels Fanals restaurant in Arinsal and the craft beer & AND will be in charge.
Thursday September the 12th
Guided visit to the ancient building of Radio Andorra in Encamp
This unique building currently houses the Ministry of Tourism and is also the headquarters of Andorra Turisme. The museum space we will visit was of crucial importance after the Spanish Civil War, during the Second World War and a large part of the 20th century.
Friday September the 13th
Presentation of local food and artisanal products by local producers
We will taste different products made in Andorra: sausages, cheeses, honey, beer, etc.
Saturday September the 14th
AWF 2024 Closing Party
After the last hiking trip, the closing party will take place with a meal accompanied by live music by the local rock band THE RUCKS.
